This past year, we have gotten to a know a sweet family… fellow seminarians with three adorable little girls. They recently felt burdened to look into the possibility of international adoption. The more they looked into it and the more they prayed, the more they felt the Lord’s leading to begin the process of adoption. They went through a local agency that works with Ethiopian adoptions. They have now been approved to adopt two precious baby boys in Ethiopia.
They still have a few more hurdles to jump over before the boys can become officially theirs and before they can bring them home. There is paper work and court hearings among other things. They are currently raising money to cover the cost of the adoption. You can read more about their story and current needs on their blog.
I have really struggled since we have been in seminary and on a tight budget with how I can be a cheerful giver. I have had to realize that giving doesn’t always have to be dollars and cents. I can give of my time, talents and resources. I really enjoy crafting. I love to knit, crochet, and sew.
Where am I going with all of this? Well.. I have offered to donate a portion of proceeds from my etsy shop to this sweet family. So… for the rest of the month of April, any time a purchase is made, 40 % will go toward helping bring those babies home!
I just added some new items to the shop and will probably be adding more soon:
