This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have shared before that I am not a couponer. I think people that can make the coupon thing work for them are amazingly talented. Before the extreme couponing craze took off, I did try my hand at clipping coupons, subscribing to coupon web sites, etc. I found myself buying things I would not normally buy. I found myself spending more money than I was before the couponing started. Most coupons are for name brand products. After you use the coupon, you end up spending the same (or slightly more) than you would of if you had just bought the store brand to begin with…

Which brings me to my point. I am a big fan of buying store brand products. In general, you are getting the same quality and same ingredients as the name brand. Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products are a great example. I always compare prices of name brand and Walgreens Brand products when I go into the store. Rarely do I buy the name brand!

Here are a couple of examples so you can see the difference:

Band Aid brand bandages- 30 count box – $3.49, Walgreens Brand Plastic Adhesive Bandages- 60 count box- $2.79 (or 2/ $5). – More bandages for less $$.

NatureMade Prenatal Vitamin/ Mineral Supplement- 90 count- $12.99, Walgreens Prenatal Multivitamin/ Multimineral supplement- 100 count- $10.99- Again, more product for less $$… and basically the same ingredients.

Here are a few more points to consider when decided whether or not to buy Walgreens Brand or not:

Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products are a great value, allowing families and individuals to save money without sacrificing quality or trust. With the rising cost of healthcare, saving money on over-the-counter medications can really benefit a family’s budget. In addition to being an exceptional value, Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products:

a. Are Walgreens pharmacist recommended.

b. Most contain the same active ingredients as other national brands.

c. Have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

My husband’s cousin is a pharmacist. I showed her some store brand generic vitamins I had been given for the kids. I asked if they were okay for the kids. I asked if there was any benefit in buying name brand vs. store brand. She said that store brand is just as good and easier on the wallet. She said there is no difference.

And, as if saving money wasn’t enough, check out what Walgreens does with proceeds from Walgreens Brand products:
